Donating your spare items is fairly simple. Most organizations are willing to come pick up your items for you, although you typically have the option to drop off items yourself at certain times. You’ll need to choose which organization you want to donate to and verify that they do accept the items you want to discard.

  • Goodwill: Goodwill is a popular nonprofit that accepts most donations. From clothing to toys to books, they’ll take about everything. Just ensure everything is in gently used condition.
  • Furniture Bank Network: Furniture can be expensive, especially when you need to furnish a completely empty space.  The Furniture Bank Network connects furniture banks across the country to help used furniture get to people who can use it.
